HISTORY
Created in 2023 by Nora Lalle, Pamplemousse began as a magazine and quickly expanded into a community and platform committed to highlighting the work of emerging and established photographers. Building upon years of publications and programming, Nora Lalle founded Pamplemousse Projects in 2025 to support and inspire photographers, with a focus on building community in the San Francisco Bay Area.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization Pamplemousse Projects is a resource for anyone who picks up a camera, and creates opportunities for individuals with artistic or professional ambitions in the field of photography. We will continue to elevate the voices of contemporary photographers and provide platforms for them to share their work.
OUR PROJECTS
Our biannual print publication committed to highlighting the work of emerging and established photographers who use film and analog techniques to create compelling projects.
Each issue offers a thoughtfully curated selection of photography to serve as inspiration and encourage discovery. We feature artists who use film and analog techniques to create strong work that pushes the boundaries of contemporary photography, while honoring and making the most of classic formats.
Pamplemousse Magazine
Our exhibitions allow us to expand our mission from the pages of Pamplemousse Magazine to the walls of physical spaces. They provide a unique opportunity for photographers to showcase their work and share their point of view with the public. We produce group shows and individual exhibitions that feature work by the diverse voices of contemporary photography.
Exhibitions
We build community and foster connection by hosting release parties, zine and print fairs, exhibition openings, photo walks and other in person programming. Our workshops, portfolio reviews and critiques provide opportunities for artists seeking guidance, mentorship and strategic insight for their creative pursuits and careers.
